Alpuro has been making calf feeds in Uddel for over 60 years. As a result of the rise in the use of roughage such as straw and muesli, Alpuro has chosen to specialise entirely in producing muesli and roughage for veal farming. In recent years, substantial investments have been made in sustainable growth, resulting in a modern factory.
Producing nutritious and safe animal feed is what Alpuro strives for every day. Therefore, every incoming raw material is sampled and intensively tested in an in-house laboratory. Since it develops its own recipes, Alpuro's mueslis are perfectly suited to the nutritional needs of calves. To further optimise the feeds, continuous research takes place opposite Alpuro's production site at DrieVeld, the VanDrie Group's innovation centre.
VanDrie Group
Alpuro is part of the Dutch family-owned company the VanDrie Group. The VanDrie Group is globally-oriented but works locally – with companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy and Germany. Its various subsidiaries produce veal and beef, animal feed, raw dairy materials and calf skins. In addition, the VanDrie Group trades in dairy products for industrial use and provides dairy farmers with guidance on rearing their calves.
